Walter Vernon, PE, LEED® AP

Walt Vernon is an electrical engineer with 25 years of experience in the design and construction of healthcare facilities. Because of his experience and expertise, he currently serves as a Principal Member of the electrical Technical Committee for NFPA 99 and co-chairs the ANSI/IEEE White Book, which is the national standard for the design of electrical systems in healthcare buildings. In addition, he demonstrates his commitment to sustainable design serving as Co-Coordinator of the Green Guide for Health Care, and is a member of Kaiser Permanente’s Environmental Stewardship Council.
